Hello GFWC IL Juniors!

Spring has arrived! And with it, the promise of green grass, flowers, leaves on trees and hopefully soon, nice warm weather!

We will be moving into a new administration in May and I have to say it will be welcomed with mixed emotions.  But let’s not get ahead of ourselves – we have a lot to do before then! I am sure you have either already attended or are planning to attend your Spring District Meetings.  We also have the Blue Ribbon Fashion Show coming up on April 8th – what an amazing event to benefit Our Promise a Safe Place for Every Child… Prevent Child Abuse Illinois!  I look forward to this event every year.

We also have the Easter Seals telethon – another favorite state activity, on April 14th.  And most importantly, our GFWC IL State Convention May 17th – 19th, which will be preceded by our GFWC IL LEADS on May 16th.  Consider registering for one of the two LEADS (Leadership Education and Development Seminar); you will not be disappointed.

It has been an honor and a privilege serving as the GFWC IL Director of Junior Clubs this administration, but more about that later. Today I just want to say, thank you for helping design better lives and for always trying to accomplish something not merely to exist.

In Federation Friendship, Jeanette
