The Blue Ribbon Fashion Show Committee has an answer to Coronavirus cancelling, once again, our beautiful April event, while still being able to continue our much needed support of the work of Prevent Child Abuse, Illinois. If we could, we would so very much LOVE to see your face, in person, at Bolingbrook Country Club when spring fills the air… but since we cannot gather that big of a crowd yet, socially… we came up with a plan.

First, Bolingbrook Country Club is returning our deposit to us, which will become a donation directly to PCA, ILLINOIS. With that in mind, we thought, “Let’s just imagine ourselves having a “NO FASHIONS” Fashion Show and Luncheon!” The beauty of it all is that the money we will save from producing the actual event can become a 100% DONATION to PCA Illinois. As you can imagine, because of the pandemic, the need for the wonderful work PCA does has increased greatly, and their ability to fundraise has decreased proportionately. We, GFWC Illinois, have an opportunity to make a real difference here.

We would like to ask you to still “purchase a ticket” to this year’s Blue Ribbon Fundraiser for the same amount as last year’s show and luncheon – $50.00. With no fashions, no luncheon, no travel, no raffle prizes to donate or tickets to buy…truly NO EXPENSE of being there in person… WE CAN STILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE! We can keep “OUR PROMISE: A SAFE PLACE FOR EVERY CHILD”.

Traditionally, we have Clubs and Districts who generously donate to the success of The Blue Ribbon, and we welcome, again this year, that wonderful support. Some donations have already been made to use as “raffle” prizes this year, and the Committee has chosen to use 5 of these, instead, as “NO DOOR” Door Prizes. The name of every person who donates $50.00 will go into a drawing, and the same incentive applies for Clubs and Districts. For every additional $50.00 donated, an additional entry and chance to win one of the prizes goes into the pot! Friends and family, as always, are invited to “ATTEND” and their names will go into the pot as well. On the next page, please be sure to fill out the “NOT A RESERVATION FORM” with information we need to be sure winners get their prize!

IF YOU WOULD NORMALLY.. CONSIDER ADDING THIS TO YOUR TICKET PRICE:

• Buy some raffle or “Split-the-Pot” tickets $10-$20
• Have a glass of wine or a fancy cocktail $10-$15
• Make the trip to Bolingbrook from Central or Southern region $25
• Have those nails done for the big day $30 $30
• Ordinarily buy a new article of clothing or shoes $______
• Ask a friend, sister or Mom to be your guest $50 $50
